+ ATMOSPHERE
The place is on the second floor of Seikousha Bldg. which has ampm on the ground floor but have sign and the board menu at the side of the street so easy to find if you are careful enough. They have one big round table and 6 table with 4 seats, 2 tables with 2 seats. They have 1 private room as well.
Their interior is based on white color, which is not too crowded and with their low volume Chinese BGM make us cozy and comfortable.
I saw a lot of people enjoying their time after eating for a while.
Customers visiting lunch time seems mainly 30’s — 50’s office workers. They said they have Chinese native customers, as well.
I noticed a lot of photos on the wall. Major league baseball player Matsui and Kiyohara, comedian Samma Akashiya, Mitsuko Mori, Akiko Wada etc. Maybe their executive chef who had been worked for famous restaurant for long time brought these celebrities to them.
+ INTERVIEW WITH THE EXECUTIVE CHEF
Their chef had been worked as an executive chef in Shanghai and came over to Japan in 1989. For our interview he managed to find some time for us but normally he is too busy to come around your table. We can’t forget his nice smile.
He said, around 12:00 is peak hour and recommended us after 13:00. Chef’s recommendation is “Sweet and sour pork with black vinegar” and “Shrimp with Pumpkin”.
Their place was picked up during TV Asahi program on Dec. 23rd 2006!
+ RESEARCH
This research was made on Dec. 15th (Fri) and 20th(Wed) 2006.
+ TIP!
I decided to write about this place because of their “Sweet and sour pork with black vinegar”.
I was imaging more veg together with pork but this one is just pork and pork and pork!!
Isn’t the price 880 yen too cheap ??
It’s so crispy and really good with their rich sour sauce.
I know this has high calories but couldn’t care cause it’s sooooo good!!!
At the end, I finished them all !! My god! I couldn’t stop !
Who was wrong ? Is it me or the chef who made it too nice?!
Anyway, please try and decide by yourself…
Manager told me that this “sweet and sour pork” is not always in the lunch menu so if you really want to try, please ask them from the regular menu.
Anyway I really like it enough to try twice already, but it may depends on the one who try…
And of course don’t forget to stop by our Azabu Interior show room after that!!
