Home to a number of embassies, Azabu is rich in international character. There is a large supply of homes designed for foreigners, as well as a good selection of restaurants and supermarkets. Nishimachi International School and National Azabu Supermarket are located here, making Azabu a popular residential area particularly among families.
Though a cosmopolitan city, Azabu still retains a spirit of Japanese tradition at the Arisugawanomiya Memorial Park. The park takes an ancient form of Japanese gardens, which typically reserves the natural relief of the landscape. Visitors come to enjoy nature walks and seasonal changes of the scenery, as well as to utilize the library and the sports ground residing within the park.
Azabu is also close to the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center and International School of the Sacred Heart located in the adjacent Hiroo area.
